Forge Project announces the launch of its imprint with the publication "Native Visual Sovereignty: A Reader on Art and Performance"

Native Visual Sovereignty traces a lineage of performance as a site of resistance, collectivity, and self-determination. This compendium features newly commissioned essays by editor Candice Hopkins, asinnajaq, and Dylan Robinson; oral-history interviews with G. Peter Jemison, Rebecca Belmore, Spiderwoman Theater, and Theo Jean Cuthand; reprints of 20 significant essays and texts since 1969, and new contributions from artists and scholars across generations.
