March Community Day

Forge Project

Mar 23, 2024

12PM ET

Join Forge Project for a monthly “open house,” when our space is open to visitors who are welcome to tour the site, fill seed packets together, view artworks from the collection, enjoy light refreshments, and meet Forge staff.

Tours led by Director of Indigenous Programs & Relationality Sarah Biscarra Dilley (yaktitʸutitʸu yaktiłhini [Northern Chumash]) and Public and Community Programs Coordinator, Robbie Wing (Cherokee Nation) will take place at 12:30 and 2 PM.

Visitors will view portions of the Forge Project collection of contemporary Indigenous artists, its community space for public programs, library, and will be encouraged to walk the grounds. This is a drop-in event and visitors are welcome to stay as long as they would like within the 12 to 3 PM window.

Sliding Scale Donation:

Forge Project charges a sliding scale fee for events and recommends direct donations in the amount of your choosing to the Cultural Affairs Department at the Stockbridge-Munsee Community.

Our sliding scale ticket fees are inclusive not only of the time, expertise, and hosting shared by program contributors and Forge staff but also an equal contribution to Stockbridge-Munsee Community toward building their new Cultural Center as a tangible recognition of our responsibility to Moh-He-Con-Nuck peoples and homelands.

Sliding scale rate of $0 - $50

Always Free & Suggested Donation

  • Native visitors as well as Native-led and explicitly Native-serving organizations are hosted without fee.

  • Grassroots nonprofits, activists, and organizers are also welcome to attend events free of charge though we encourage direct donations to the Stockbridge-Munsee Community.

Expected Fee & Sliding Scale Donation

  • Non-Native visitors, allied community members, and members of the general public are asked to place themselves on a sliding scale, contributing a fee set according to their economic access, personal privilege, and financial stability.
